OAKLAND BRANDING PORTRAIT SESSION | SARA
I had the pleasure to shoot a creative headshot session with local Oakland designer Sara Stalla. She loved the vibe of a session I shot with fellow photographer Meg last fall, so we decided to shoot at the same two locations: Mt Tam and Muir Beach. We worked on a mood board together before the shoot to nail down the vibe and a shot list with some poses we wanted to make sure we got. From there we collaborated and fed off each other’s energy, as well as the landscape and our surroundings. One of the best parts about shooting outside is even if you return to the same locations again and again, they are always in flux. Mt Tam was so green from the winter rain, and the tide at the beach changed the rocks we had access to. Plus, the light! We got blessed with some beautiful sun during an otherwise wet and rainy week.
