SAN FRANCISCO BRANDING PORTRAIT SESSION | KELLY
Kelly is an author and semi-retired firefighter ! with a book coming out next year, and she needed a new author photo as well as creative headshots for general marketing purposes (think website, Instagram, press for her upcoming book). We wanted to shoot somewhere big and vast outdoors, with trees of course, as her book is about her time as a wildland firefighter and is set in the forests of deep NorCal.
We worked on a mood board together before the shoot to nail down the vibe and a shot list with some poses we wanted to make sure we got. From there we collaborated and fed off each other’s energy, as well as the landscape and our surroundings. We met at a trailhead in Bolinas and shot in a eucalyptus grove before continuing down the trail, stopping wherever we were called to.
